How do I integrate Google Analytics?

At ShareThis we’ve built our technology to integrate with Google Analytics, which is designed to help publishers identify and track key metrics. Simply locate your Google Analytics Profile ID and follow these 4 easy steps:




Step 1: Sign up for Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics




Step 2: Add your domains and Google Analytics ID to your ShareThis account at http://sharethis.com/account/domains




Step 3: Lastly, you will need to add the tracking code parameter to the ShareThis widget code on your website:




- Locate the ShareThis JavaScript code on your web site or in your content management system (e.g. WordPress). It should look something like this:

- Add ‘tracking=google’ as the last parameter in the script, as shown:

That’s it! Once the tracking code is pushed to your website, Google Analytics will begin collecting detailed sharing activity for inclusion in your web site reports. Here is what you can expect to see in your reports.
